Marc Meneau’s roots run deep in Vézelay, figuratively and literally. His family has been established there for centuries, and he is the grandson of vintners of Saint Père sous Vézelay. With this background, it’s no surprise that among his many ventures is a vineyard: Domaine Marc Meneau. With 30 acres of vines in the Vézelay area, he produces a selection of the finest Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs. The white wines, with their hints of fruit and flowers, come to maturity in three to five years; the reds, which are lighter with traces of red berries, have potential in six.
